Sara is one of the most gifted yoga teachers I have ever practiced with, particularly in relation to using the asanas and guided meditations to gently help heal unresolved trauma. She is able to teach to all different levels simultaneously, and has a knack for intuitively teaching whatever lesson or pose is needed in that particular moment. She is so warm and accepting that it was easy to stay open, humble and vulnerable while practicing with her. She is able to share her passion and vast knowledge of both the poses and ideology behind them in such a fun and sometimes even humorous way that it bypassed my knee jerk reaction to take myself too seriously and stiffen up, which was crucial in helping me truly absorb the lessons I was being taught.

Sara has been such a gift to my yoga practice. Her style of teaching brings a feeling of light-heartedness and fun that is so refreshing. She is very careful with how she cues poses, so I am always aware of alternate variations that may fit my body more appropriately that particular day. She’s helped me to understand my physical body in a much better way, which allows me to be kind to myself, both in how I SEE my body and what I FEEL in my body. She is extremely knowledgeable about the history of yoga and the Sanskrit for the asanas, so she’s able to bring that to her teaching as well. She is kind and caring and makes sure to create a space in which her students feel safe and supported and never judged. One of my favorite things about Sara is that no practice is the same. She brings such creativity to her flow so I can always expected the unexpected, which has deeply benefitted me in other areas of my life. If you want a truly unique practice with a truly loving human, Sara’s your girl!

Sara is a fantastic yoga teacher with a comprehensive approach, including the physical practice suggesting alternatives, adjustments and transitions into a pose to keep it interesting and to prevent injury. She draws on deep understanding of yoga and all of its elements to deliver a great practice each and every time.

I am happy to report I have known Sara for several years now. She is not only a fellow yoga instructor, but has become my friend. After flowing and sweating through many variations of yoga for close to 20 years now I have seen many different styles/brands and instructors along the way. Sara has a unique and brilliant ability to cue a class from the perspective of one’s own capability at that given moment both physically and mentally which simply makes sense to me! The Yoga market has become very saturated and there are so many classes/types to chose from these days. I feel as though the true meaning has become lost. In my opinion, not one or the other type is better for any given individual. The pure essence of yoga is to just ”be”. Be yourself in that moment, whatever that means for YOU. Sara makes you feel completely safe to do just that. Her extensive background in therapeutic yoga is also a gift that is very often not seen and can make a huge impact on others. She fully understands boundaries and the unique body and mind we all encompass. So if you want to flow freely (or not even flow) tune into your own body/breathe without judgement fear or ego Sara is your girl. 10/10.
