While there are longer body scans you can do, sometimes a short self check-in is the way to go. If you discover that you are holding tension in your body, then you can begin to address it. You can't help something you aren't aware of!


It's important to note that adding any layer of judgement is usually not helpful, so try to stay with neutral descriptions of what you feel. If you'd like to rest after your body scan, feel free. If you have things to do, try to come out slowly enough that your nervous system stays in a more comfortable state if you can.
