Hourlong Flow

This practice is a heat-generating flow with a soft focus on Asteya, or non-stealing, the third Yama from Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. I recommend having some practice under your belt for this one, but if you're a beginner and want to give it a shot feel free. Just take your time, ease up on yourself, and see what you have available to give to your practice.

How is a practice like this helpful for keeping us sane in an insane world? Some of us need to work through our stress hormones with hard physical effort. In a way, we need to meet ourselves where we are, not try to enforce stillness where the opposite exists. I like to think about shifting our energy in this way: you have to meet it to move it. But if you're not the type of person for whom this works, please try one of the other, softer and slower practices on the site. Never require yourself to be someone you aren't.

If you find this practice helpful, please consider making a donation for the upkeep of the site. We can't do this without you!
